Asbestos has been widely used in many building products because of its tensile strength and chemical and thermal resistance.
However, asbestos is extremely hazardous to workers handling it and to others in the area when it becomes air born. Asbestos is a carcinogen that causes lung cancer and mesothelioma.
There are many circumstances, in fact, in which ist is perfectly fine, and even recommended, to leave asbestos material where it is. Unnecessary removal of materials can be a costly mistake. Please, contact CSM to give you a professional trained opinion.
Friable asbestos materials must be removed and disposed of properly, in accordance with any applicable local and state regulations.
CSMs Inspection -Inspection of all questionable materials and spaces. -Taking samples of the potentially contaminated material and photographs of the space. -Assessing the condition and age of the structure and suspect material. -Advising property owner of the needed corrections. -Written evaluation of material and inspection with recommendations. |
